The Librarians (Admins) Working For YouNot only are the administrators on The Petulant Poetess authors, they are also accredited betas. We know what authors go through in submitting stories across the fandom, because we have had experience in submitting stories to several sites. We even have experience proofreading, editing and writing outside of the fandom. Just so you can be assured: the admins on The Petulant Poetess know what it is like to be in your shoes as an author waiting for a story to be validated.
Current administrators of The Petulant Poetess are listed below. Feel free to link through to their profiles and see what they have written. If you have any questions for any of the admins, click on the Contact link in the profile to send an e-mail. Perfect Imagination certificates are posted on this page.

History and CreditsThe Petulant Poetess was brought into existence by myself, notsosaintly, on April 3, 2005. When it began, I used a completely unmodified version of eFiction 1.1. However, it became clear almost from the beginning that certain modifications needed to be made, whether it was to fix a bug or simply because I wasn't satisfied. I taught myself php coding, which wasn't difficult since I was already very familiar with html and had a working knowledge of creating and hosting websites. Over the months, the software has been modified and simplied and continues to go through improvements on a weekly basis. Because of this, the software has become something more of my own creation, although still based on Rebecca Smallwood's eFiction 1.1, a program without which this site would never have been created. As of October 1, 2005 the new, improved program has been given an official name: eFic Pandemonium. I sincerely hope that all the changes and improvements I have made and continue to make are appreciated by all.
I created this site not only for myself, since this has become a hobby of sorts, but for all the authors and readers out there who wanted another moderated website on which to post and read. My goal in offering this site is to help writers learn how to grow in their craft. Many I know, myself included, are using and have used fanfiction as a way to practice and try different techniques before submitting short stories and novels to publishers out in the "real world." Therefore, my admins and I take special care to be helpful and to be available and, most of all, to be kind, because we know through experience that this attitude is much better received.
The Poetess skin was the original skin, the site's "birthday suit," if you will. I have been asked if I do indeed have pink hair. The answer is no, I do not. Oddly enough, I have come to identify with that picture, so perhaps for Halloween one year I will give in and dye it that color. I created the Poetess, Professor, Goblet and GraphicLite skins and color schemes with PhotoShop and CSS coding. Tarah_Fae, authoress and artiste extraordinaire, created the graphics and color scheme for the Patronus skin at my request (and a lot of begging). Tarah was more than happy to do it for me (I think), and I have set Patronus as my personal skin. Thanks, Tarah! I believe I have enough skins to offer something for everyone's taste.
I say this often, but I believe I cannot say this enough: my door is always open. If you have a complaint, comment or suggestion, you can go to the forum and make a post or you can send me an e-mail if you wish not to make it a public spectacle. If I do not answer within 24 hours, it is entirely possible that I am unable to get online, in which case Southern_Witch_69 is always there in my stead. I need to say that SW, from almost the day I opened the Poetess' doors, has volunteered her services. When I was sufficiently established and had my modus operandi set in stone--let's not mention that by then I was rather overwhelmed with submissions--I asked her to come on board. SW and I are of the same mind, have similar senses of humor, and we work well together. She is my head admin and is consulted on all my major decisions, and most minor ones as well. Without her, I think I would have lost my mind by now. Thank you, Sunshine! I believe I just may owe you my life.
