I'm Lynnette. I'm a wife, stay at home mother of 9, with 5 daughters and 2 sons still at home. I have two grandsonz and one granddaughter:)
I LOVE to read, I LOVE to write, and am thrilled to be published here on The Petulant Poetess. I love the Harry Potter books because of my kids, and hope to get good enough to become an accredited beta reader at some point:) |

Summary: A new Dark Lord is rising. Deputy Headmaster (and Undercover Auror) Severus Snape needs an entree to Draco Malfoy's engagement party in order to gather evidence, and because the Malfoys are dotting every i and crossing every t so as not to be thought out of line after the war, the only way Severus can bring a date is to be engaged or married. Cue Hermione Granger, his colleague at Hogwarts, for whom he has developed tender feelings, but whom he can't simply talk to about his feelings.

Summary: Deathly Hallows Prompts 6 and 8.
6. The kids leave after Snape dies. He sits up and realizes he is a ghost. (I changed this to a portrait instead of a ghost.)
8. As Hermione, Ron, and Harry watch Snape die, Hermione is devastated because she has been secretly in love with him. (The prompt calls for Hermione to use a Time-Turner to go back and rescue Severus, but I wanted to comply with the book and see if I could write a story where Hermione develops a strong, loving friendship with the Severus Snape she meets as a portrait many years later.)
Time: After the Epilogue. Place: Hogwarts. Hermione is teaching at Hogwarts and is Deputy Headmistress to Minerva McGonagall. Her children, Rose and Hugo, live at Hogwarts with her; her husband Ron manages the All-England Quidditch League. When Minerva McGonagall dies, Hermione is appointed Headmistress and moves in to the Head’s office. |
