“He’s certainly come a long way in the last year, Severus; you have to grant him that,” Hermione said as he poured a glass of wine. At his frown—a frown he’d exclusively developed for his wife’s mention of Weasley—she added, “I’m not saying he’s turned into a gentleman!”

Severus chuckled darkly. “Nor will he ever. Honing skills will only get him so far. One is born with it or not.” He took the glass out of her hand and placed it on the table; then he pulled her closer. “Now, let me show you my… less gentlemanly ways...”
