ReviewedAN: Welcome to my 3rd annual Christmas Filk! I've decided to gift this one to Pearle. I know that you haven't had a lot to smile about these past few weeks, so if this silly little filk can raise a corner of your mouth, then I have done my job. We love you! This little filk is an idea that popped up after a discussion over on Potter Place and I know you would have had a LOT to say on the matter.
This should be sung to the tune of "Let it Snow."
Oh the end of DH was frightful.
Snape alive would be delightful.
Since we can’t change what she wrote;
Let It Go! Let It Go! Let It Go!
We can still take comfort in fan fic,
There are many from which you can pick,
Most are well done, but some just blow
Let It Go! Let It Go! Let It Go!
We dream up places where Snape could be.
Like loving Hermione and holding her so tight.
They would live in a cottage by the deep blue sea
Then everything would be just right.
Let’s not forget who started it all.
Because, my dears, we are having such a ball.
If it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t love Snape so
Forgive Jo! Forgive Jo! Forgive Jo!

Excellent! And I must thank you for your most thoughtful gift. I can still hear the song echoing in my mind. The words and sentiment fit the tune perfectly. I have to agree with you, let it go, which is the reason I always write as if Snape survived DH- EWE all the way!Hoping you have a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year!

Hee! Thank you for this... Sometimes I need to remember that it was Jo who created Harry Potter's world -and our beloved Severus Snape, and this lyric/fic(?) is a good way to remember...Thank you.
Author's Response: I appreciate your review. We had a "discussion" over at Potter_Place about this. So many haven't forgiven her for killing off Snape, but he was her character to kill. AND... if she didn't care for him at all, she wouldn't have written him in a way to make us care for him. Thanks again!!
