This is so Sweet! I love the verbal sparring that Hermione and Severus use to "keep in touch."Thank Merlin that Lily decided to "lend a helping hand" to bring them closer than just keeping in touch. I nearly applauded when Severus realized that the chance of a life time was about to walk away and he pulled her back into his office. "Miss Granger, I will raise no objection if you wish to kiss me." followed by “Option three suits me best, Miss Granger.”Wasting no time, Hermione "kissed him hungrily to let him know that option three suited her best as well."Hot Dog!!! The ending scene where they are wrapped in each other's arms, stumbling back into his desk with Severus holding onto the two essays (for dear life!) is perfect.Great little story! Thank you.Beth

Oh this is so sweet. Lily of all spirits was the one to hang the mistletoe? I loved the way you played on both of their insecruities, Hermione's and Snape's until they finally kissed. Well done. Thank you for the Christmas prezzie!

Awwww!!!! Love it! And I'm so glad you got to post the pic at the end of the story.

You are so incredibly talented, it's just been a joy to work with you, and I really adored this story.

What I like most is how Severus alwasy sounds so controlled, but his body language in this situation is most decidedly awkward! What a lovely contrast, and kudos to Hermione for not shying away.

I love this so much, OpalJade. Severus is so dear in this, all his pomp and awkwardness, and I think it comes through so well because we get to see him through Lily's eyes at the end, with the affection of an old friend. I still love those essays!
