Ohh, that Lavender Brown, I could just smack her! I so totally identify with Hermione. Never have fit in! Fortunately, in adulthood I have not had anyone be so mean! I love the spelling mistake. I was glad it was Lavender rather than the author who made it.I am intrigued, I will continue.

Tee hee - I had to include a special note to the Exchange mods so they wouldn't correct the spelling mistake! You are fortunate to have escaped an acquaintance like this in adulthood ... I have worked with two different "Lavender" type women at different corporation, and it makes me heartily hope that karma exists (or men like Snape!). Thanks so much for deciding to continue!

I'm not sure if it was optimism or simply her innate desire to plan. To be honest, I was never thrilled with that line anyway, and if I recall correctly, I changed it after posting. (Which proves I should never be in a rush to post.) Thanks so much for the review and stars!
I've loved this story from beginning to end. Not only did it start out as a humorous, funny tale but it went on to become a tender, sweet romance with some great banter between the various characters. It will, most definitely, remain one of my favourites! 
And I think you should get extra points for your ingenious use of Beatles song titles - what inspiration! :-)

Hmm, I don't do angst well, so the previous chapter caused me pain. This one is offering some glimmers of hope. I'm anxious for unequivocal positive progress, but don't want this to end, so at this point I don't know what I want, except for maybe more than one more chapter. Thanks for writing!

Maybe Severus should also clue in his good friend Kingsley as to the estimable Ms. Brown's nasty insinuations. Somehow I don't think he'd be particularly amused either.

It took a few minutes, but Kingsley and Hermione finally understood they were both on the same page where Severus is concerned. Glad they got that straightened out.I see that Lavender is still the incorrigible, sniping coworker from Hell, (there's always one in the department, isn't there?), but our heroine has become adept at defusing her bad behavior. Well done, Hermione. The best part, however, what hearing that deep voice saying, “That’s quite enough, Miss Brown." Yes! Yes!! Yes!!! He does have impeccable timing.A deliciously wonderful chapter. I now feel that that Severus really should have turned up wearing his Superman outfit (perhaps he did?!)I'm also a little concerned about Kingsley keeping hold of those knickers; he seems to have taken a real shine to them! Perhaps Severus can persuade him to come out of the closet (or drawer in this case!) I look forward to the (final?) chapter ... there must be so much more to come of this great story, surely?! There will be nothing to keep me amused without your regular updates - I'll end up like:

I know!! These are absolutely the shortest chapters I've ever written. I blame the Beatles tune titles - I couldn't stop splitting them up to incorporate more song names!
