Severus really needs friends and mentors who can give him a go. He's so stubborn that he needs a kick now and then.

O this was even more fun than your first chapter. I really enjoy the fact this fairy godmother only helps him to take his own responsability instead of presenting him the desired result on a silver platter. Very curious how this will work out. Can't wait to see how Severus is delivering his message to Hermione and if it indeed leads to trust or starts first with misunderstanding. I can think of a lot of scenario's... Hope you'll update soon.

Things that come easy are never truly appreciated. (That should be a Fortune cookie fortune!) Really, though, they aren't. These two need to build something lasting.

Argg! Now this is normally why I tend to shy away from WIP's, because the always cut off just when they're starting to get good. But I love your stories so much, I was willing to bypass that particular rule this time. Great start, funny dialogue (when Albus pauses asking Severus to dance... with Minerva gave me the giggles). Nice storyline as well, can't wait for more!

I LOVE this fairy godmother scene! Its just perfect.I could take this as a one-shot just like this, but I'll be sure and bookmark it anyway. I'll be waiting to see what happens next.

I can tell this is going to be good - I look forward to more! I must say I think you have made Severus quite brave to take the F.G. up on this wish, after he remembered that there are Trelawneys and Umbridges out there. Or really, really desperate!

He did ask if it was someone decent. He was hoping to have something special. I think it would be hard to pass up such a wish, even if most of me thought it was a bunch of bunk.

You know, the entire time that Severus' fairy godmother was speaking to him, I kept hearing the voice of Billie Burke as Glinda the Good Witch in the Wizard of Oz movie! 
At least she was kind enough to let him see the woman who would love him, rather than leaving him in the dark to flounder around... I'm looking forward to seeing just what he'll do with his newfound knowledge about Hermione!

LOL, she was one of the 'people' I pictured for this fairy. Giselle from Enchanted was the other mainly. I love her character. She's so flighty, yet endearing.Arista was very kind to give Severus a giant hint. It would be so much harder looking at every woman and wondering... is she the one?

Hmm, the thought of fairy godmothers is a little weird to me, but overall i liked the story, and I'm always glad to find a hg/ss story with a happy ending.

Mmm...opera...a perfect "dress to the nines" event. Hopefully Hermione won't give Severus a heart attack when he sees her in a fine gown! On the other hand, he could be pretty heart-stopping himself in a finely cut suit. Either way, I look forward to the date. Will Hermione mention something in Harry or Ron's hearing to set off a mini-firestorm? Or will they just say, "I'm surprised you two didn't start dating sooner, honestly!"

I think that the friends will be shocked yet accepting at this point. They love Hermione and want her to be happy. We'll see how everything goes.

Smooth and Severus aren't usually synonomous. BUT, there's only one chapter left, so it can't be too bad, right?
This is truely a good story. It was cute to see Severus' reaction to Hermione not only have breakfast with him but agreeing to go on a date with him. Can't wait to see what happens on said date.
