Due to the often controversial nature of my fics, I've decided I will no longer be posting here (this not NOT include my WIPs--Princes in Exile and Caged Bird Sings will continue to be updated here. This is regarding only my oneshots and future long fics). You can find all my stories at my Livejournal, under the name literaryspell. None of the fics are, as yet, friendslocked, so you can read at your leisure, and friend me, or not, as you like. :D Be sure to check out my master list, which is the first post on my LJ page. Thank you!

If anyone would prefer to send comments to me personally, or would just like to talk plot or make suggestions, please contact me at literaryspell@live.com. I'm happy to hear from anyone!

Interesting way of solving the problem.

Progress appears to being made. :)

Hey ladies, another fine chapter(sorry, Kep, I'm waaaaay overdue here).

Interesting that when he picks up the wand, he can feel the magic in it, but when he tries to use it nothing happens.  Is something really wrong with the wand, or the wand wielder?  It was working for Harry, and while he is having his share of issues, I'd like to think he wouldn't have messed with the wand.  Hopefully he is not spiteful enough to have the, "If I can't use it, noone can" attitude.  He went to a lot of trouble to return it, so he surely would not wreck it and then give it back.

Draco is such a snob, crying like he is about having to get a job.  But in fairness, if you are raised with money and to think that you are above the general population, it would be hard to fathom stooping down to the level of the common folk. Still, you'd think he would have learned by now that pride only gets you so far.

Pansy broke off. “Oh,” she said lamely. “That... um... wand.”

That made me laugh, though I really can't stand Pansy.  And why doesn't she offer to let Draco try her wand?  Or she try his? I mean, it isn't the same as having you own, but it would at least give more info as to where the problem lies.

You've got this slow build of tension and intensity going that is really working well.  I look forward to the point when all Hell breaks loose.  Well, I mean more so than what happened at the end here...

You gals have really complimentary writing styles.  There is enough difference that I get a definitive feel for which character's POV I'm reading, but not so much that it feels awkward switching back and forth.  As always, looking forward to the next installment!

"Fuck you, Potter," Harry chuckled. "All right, but you do have to take your wand.  Don't think it was an offer, Harry! ;)

sunny33

Um... Draco's an idiot! :)

10/10

sunny33

Oh, dear, this could get nasty. Harry really needs to return that wand. :)

10/10

sunny33

He seems rather attached to that wand.  Look out, Harry! :)

Justin. Now there's a character who is ignored a lot. Nice to see his name appear. :)

So much passion wasted in fighting... ;)

I'm as confused as Draco. Why his wand does not work? And I hope he won't be badly harmed by the spells.

blue artemis

Draco is an idiot, I believe.  Yeesh.

Oh they are both in such a bad place right now.  Draco is not very receptive to anything that Harry offers him, but I think that while Harry's close friends and coworkers probably see how bad of shape he is in, it is hidden from the general public, Draco included.  Maybe once he sees that the mighty have fallen a bit, he will drop the standard Malfoy attitude.

I think it would be helpful for both men to play therapist as they each are in need of a turn on the couch.  Or they could forget the therapist part, and take their turn on the couch together *grins*  Yeah, yeah I know.  Save it for later chapters.  Geez, can't a girls mind wander! ;)

This really is just building, and building to what I know are going to be some spectacular fireworks.  Whether it happens in a good or bad way remains to be seen.  Keep up the excellent work on your end, and I will do my part by ignoring the laundry and dishes in favor or reading this.

That was entertaining.

Thank you!

I can't wait for their first meeting and the sparks that will undoubtedly come from it.

Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Princes in Exile)

You can bet it'll be explosive! :D

Yes, well, it would be too gentlemanly to just approach Harry bloody Potter and ask for his wand back, wouldn't it.  I know, it is not that easy, but I'm sure whatever he is planning will not go over too well.  For which party, I'm not sure. You've made me care about Draco, even thought I think he is a bit of a punk.  He lost his mother and feels responsible.  His relationship with his father is strained, at best.  And living like a muggle must not come easy for a Malfoy.  I was pleased to see that he self corrected from using "mudblood" to describe his current lifestyle.Looking forward to seeing the feathers fly

Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Princes in Exile)

Ah, but Draco doesn't even know himself how badly he wants the wand back. :DI sent your review along to keppiehed! Thank you so much for reading!

What a great start!  I'm interested to know if anyone is aware of Harry's obsession with Draco.  Or for that matter, is it really just the need to return a wand as one more piece of closure from the war, or is it actually the need to see Draco?  Or does he just need something... anything, to occupy his mind?  Yes I know, all questions will be answered in due time :)  You always manage to make my brain hurt a little... and I love it!This is kind of a downer Harry, but probably more realistic than not, after going through years of constant adventure and turmoil and fear, and then it's just over.  I hope he finds happiness in the end *sneaks off to break and enter, steal Mikey, and gift him to Harry*  That'll cheer him up!  I don't know where this is going, but I can't wait to find out! Off to see what Draco is up to...

Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Princes in Exile)

Is anyone aware of Harry's obsession? We'll have to see, but I don't think it's gone unnoticed, especially by the more observant member of the trio... :DI'm so glad you're asking questions! I really hope you continue to enjoy the fic. It's such a great story and we're really proud of it. :D

Ah, Draco.  Revenge on Harry is probably not the best idea.

Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Princes in Exile)

To Draco, it's the *only* idea. :D

Interesting premise with Harry having Draco's wand...and being comfortable with it :)  I can't wait to see where this story goes!

Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Princes in Exile)

I can see it happening. Harry's powerful enough to need two focusing instruments. Plus he's always been weird with magic--some things he's great at, others just terrible. Maybe it's all just a matter of the wand. :D Thank you!

Ooh!  How delightful- can't wait to see where this goes.

Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Princes in Exile)

Thanks, sweetie! :D

Wow! I won't say I'm glad because I would have loved to read more chapters. I know every story has to end somewhere, but here their life is just beginning. I wish I could see more of them. *sigh* I'll just have to use my imagination. Anyway, despite my maudlin mood I loved every word of it. I can't wait for the next writing from either of you.

Good old Hermione. She'll sort those boys out sooner or later! :)

*blink* NO! Don't Harry! Oh My Freaking Gosh! Great chapter! I loved it! "Cheers!"

Oh.My.God!!!!! Even in my wildest dreams I hadn't dared to hope this would happen so fast with Draco being so emotionnally confused. That was SO fantastic. What I don't understand is how Draco petrified Harry. I guess it wasn't intentionnal and what Harry accused him of is unfounded. I hope they'll manage to comunicate more and that Harry doesn't go into alcohol once more. This is the best chapter of this story so far. Bravo!!!!

Uh-oh, what happened?  Things were going along so well.  I loved the fact that they have so much history between them.  Good or bad it is something to build a friendship and then some on.  And there were so many nice little moments like Draco struggling but finally changing Visitor to Harry P, or  when Harry heard Draco call him by his first name for once and it was music to his ears.

And then when they finally get down to it, Harry is really good to Draco, letting him take the lead, and not making him feel awkward for not knowing what he is doing.  I don't know if it was an intentional choice, or just my take on things, but up until this point, there has been this enormous amount of tension, and they are both really strong personalities, so I thought that their first time would be this explosion of pent up lust and would be very intense and animalistic.  Instead, it was really nice and meaningful, what I would probably refer to as a love scene rather than a sex scene.  I loved that!  It would have been so easy to resolve the sexual tension in a wild moment of physical pleasure, and then one or the other back off and pretend it wasn't anything more than that.  So I was pleased that they shared things on such an emotional level as well.  But then the unthinkable happened anyway, and I wanted to smack Harry upside the head.  You would think by now that he would know better than to jump to conclusions where Draco is concerned.  I can, however, see where Harry is coming from if he thinks it was intentional on Draco's part.  It still saddened me that Draco has this wonderful moment, the one they have been working toward for so long, and Harry couldn't share in his excitement.  Will these two ever live happily ever after?  I am a bit worried!

OMG!! can they at least ONCE talk about things before storming off????!!!!
geez, this is probably the most frustrating story I've ever read!!
but it's still awesome =D
