If it is possible to do a happy-happy dance of joy and curse humanity at the same time, then I am doing both right now!First...the dance of joy: A NEW CHAPTER! Yeah! I have literally been checking several times a day simply to see a little notice to "check back soon," and what do I find, a new chapter! Bliss!Now...to curse humanity: Severus, you big oaf! So you couldn't dance with her? But the poor girl is in desperate need of a hug!Actually, I think Severus could stand a hug too.By the way, I am still loving the story -- angst and all. I just had to get out my frustration about Severus' attitude. (But then, it IS one of the reasons I love him so much. -- I guess I can't win.)

I have put off reading this until now, letting the chapters add up, so I could read them all at once.  I'm really enjoying it.  I can see Snape fighting against recognizing an attraction to a student. 

Whew!  Lord, they are both being so stupid.  *shakes head* I hope they pulls their heads out of the arses soon!  Looking forward to the removal...

I've been reading all along and enjoying. But I always like a good snotty, mean Snape. I enjoyed the confrontation and the idea of mistletoe is fun! And I am always one to enjoy the "chase" in these romances as much if not more than the catching!

it really is too bad that Severus regards Hermione's actions to help him as pity, emotional blackmail or outright manipulation or worse--he's all 'pride and prejudice', innit?? Really feeling Hermione's pain and discomfort.

Albus is conniving with the rest of the staff to get them to pair off (the whole mistletoe gathering thing)??

This is such a marvelous story!  I love your sense of humor and the first-person viewpoint.  I love that Severus didn't cave in automatically when he learned of Hermione's affection for him.  And I love that she knows so much of his past, and HE knows that she knows.  You're a wonderful writer, and I hope to read more soon.

Oh, the angst! The drama! It's killing me!! Well, maybe that's a little extreme. ;) I am anxious to see how Hermione digs herself out the hole she's got herself into and I'm extremely curious as to what is going on in Snape's head. It's fascinating that we know so much about him from the Pensieve, just as Hermione does, and yet now we know nothing of his thoughts, just like Hermione. It's frustrating, and yet I can't help coming back for more! I've had to remind myself that you have this in the Romance category, as well as drama and angst. That gives me hope that things will get better for our couple. Fabulous chapter, and, as always, I look forward to your next chapter.

This story is seriously maddening. Just when the tension and angst are lost you bring them back again.  I usually hate Angst and UST, especially in WIP fics, but I can't resist and get reeled back in. Masterfully done!

I read this story for the first time last night, and all I could think when I finished Chapter 9 was, "Herms!  Don't you know by now NEVER to follow up on one of Luna Lovegood's ideas??"  It certainly went exactly as could be expected, didn't it?

Mat hope for the next chapter, is apparent in the disappointment that that chapter ended before the asking of the dance. I will wait on pins and needles.

I believe that the chapters that you have written were outstanding, It is nice to feel a little of  more personel connection to the characters

I can't BELIEVE I have to wait to see what happens! Oh, the torture!

WOW!!!!  Mikimoto's got  some wicked sence of justice! I mulled the revenge thing myself and i got nothing. But that is just  frickin  brilliant  and a wee  bit scary at the same time  {evil grin}  As for will he dance oh my word I CAN'T  BELEAVE SHE IS TRYING THIS. Were is this girl's sence of self  preservation? He can't say yes  not after the artical it would just start the whole rummer mill going agin and he is so  allergic to  possible embarisment  i don't think he is capable of saying yes . At any rate i would just be shocked if he said yes.  Happy for her but shocked . I so love this story.

The students who are dancing with the teachers are dancing with the heads of THEIR Houses, and none of them was outed in The Daily Prophet the way Hermione was.  This is not a wise thing for her to be doing.

But then, it isn't the first time she's done something foolish.  She is eighteen, after all, and if she did everything right, she'd be far too annoying to read about.

This is as good a first story as I've ever read.  Keep up the excellent work! 

I have been thinking about the revenge aspect of the story you have written.  What is the best way for Hermione to get complete revenge on Umbridge?  It seems like it should stem from the crime itself - Umbridge took advantage of her power to question someone about personal secrets and then revealed facts of a personal nature from a sealed case.  This is both abuse of power and public humiliation.It seems as if McGonigle should have enough clout to be able to pursuade the head of the Wizengamont that it is a serious offense to reveal facts from a sealed case and it undermines their very credibility and honor as judges - resulting in Umbridge being rebuked and voted out of the group.  This should fulfill the abuse-of-power aspect of the revenge.And since everyone has secrets....  Setting Umbridge up with a Prophet reporter, some veratiserum, and some very direct questions about Centaurs should result in the headline "Ministry Deputy has Mated Repeatedly with Non-Human Magical Creatures: 'There's Nothing that Compares to it' says Umbridge."  This should fulfill the public humiliation aspect of the revenge.They say revenge is a dish best served cold.  I am hoping Umbridge won't see it coming.  I look forward to seeing how you decide to give her what she has coming to her.  Have fun!!
