About Mia
I came to the world of Harry Potter relatively early, after first resisting it because it just seemed too trendy. But when the first book came out in paperback in the US I picked it up at the airport when I was about to catch a flight, and two chapters in knew I would be ordering the original from amazon.co.uk in hardcover as soon as I landed.
I came to fanfic late, waiting until after I'd read DH. That means I've been totally obsessed with the fanfic world of Harry Potter, and most specifically the SS/HG ship, since August of '07.
I'm helplessly and hopelessly hooked.

Holy hot smut batman! heehee puns intended, but I'd imagine if anyone can make a 'Romeo and Juliet' style poison with a time-released part for rewaking it would be Severus Snape. No, I had no idea! What is hp_traditions? I never heard of that before. (I'm a newbie, remember?) I'm glad you liked it. It's one of those things that I assumed had probably been done to death but I hadn't actually stumbled across it before so I went with it!

hp_traditions is an exchange fest going on on LiveJournal and InsaneJournal. http://www.livejournal.com/community/hp-traditions . They'll take requests (and submissions) of het, gen, slash & femmeslash, ratings G to NC-17, (provided the author writes something the recipient wants), as long as the focus is on some sort of tradition, whether it be something like a pagan ritual or a birthday party.
Some of us *coughmecough* had two comment long submissions.
It's still open for sign-ups. Tell your friends. ;)

Great chapter and I hope that he is not tempted to hurt her but one never knows in war what sacrifices one is willing to make to defeat the enemy. This chapter was so emotional but good.

Well that was sexy! I wonder how often Severus will want to do that. *smirk* I still don't understand why Severus feels that he's going to have to poison Hermione. He is, after all, both a Potions Master and a spy. I'm sure he can come up with something to trick Voldemort without actually doing his bidding. Hopefully Hermione will help Severus realize that fact.

I'm not sure he thinks he has to. It's just having to promise to, plus the other things he has to do, are all getting to be a bit much for him to deal with. But you're right--Hermione will definitely have her own way of approaching everything.

Oh man, he is neck deep in it now! Man, how is he going to get out of this mess? Looks like Hermione has figured out what all the hoopla about how sex can be.
There is such a unique style of writing you use, it is very poetic. You use few words that say so much between the lines. This is a "thinking man's' fic and find myself having to go back and re-reading and seeing what I missed the first time.
This 'my Professor" and "Miss Granger" thing has its potential to be an enderaing nickname for them, I just really think that there needs to be that equal footing first, where he calls her "Hermione" and she calls him "Severus". Once that is dealt with then they can call themselves whatever the fuck they want. There is progress with them, but gosh they are still SO messed up, but what do you expect? He's a spy and she's still a very innocent young woman.
Lots to work through! Keep it up!

Groans aloud. I think I just have to stop reading because I can't stand the waiting between chapters. When the fic alert came in about an update, I practically jumped up and down.This is the sixth review I have left for this story, so you must know how much I love it but the thing where they call each other Miss Granger and Professor really bothered me in this chapter. It has never bothered me prior to this point. I suspect it is the beautiful and ever so gently mounting tension you are creating between the characters and their growing un-admitted love that has caused my sudden annoyance about the name thing. The absurdity of the formal name calling snuck up on me ever so subtly that now it seems ridiculous in the extreme, which I have come to believe was your intention all along. So, good job you crafty writer, you. I can see you writing a beautiful and amazing chapter where they come to use their first names (before the coming Halloween conflict please). I would love to see it be poetic, like the top of chapter 24, which, IMHO, is some of your strongest writing in all the chapters. I would love to see them coming to use their first names be an amazing love poem as I know you have it in you to write. I have decided to read the story from the beginning again, starting tonight.Cheers, Kat aka

I know I always say this - but again, this is one of my favs. (and the next).Sev's emotion at what he said is heartwrenching. And then their acceptance and emotional attachment to each other really shined through in this one.

I'm glad you like the theology bits--I find them fascinating myself but admittedly am not spending a lot of time there. I'm trying to balance the needs of the story with the need of Hermione and Snape to simply be together, and their need to be together frequently overwhelms the plot! Ooops.

Oh my now that was: tender, gentle, harsh,painful and hot all at the same time! What a wonderful chapter. You absolutely pull your audience in and we become completely captivated in your world. You may use JKR's characters, but this is your world and very powerful one. Well done.

Sometimes I sit in front of the keyboard knowing what is going to happen, but only dry pedestrian words will show up on the screen and I have to force them, and I simply have to wait until the flow and the mood are right. I'm glad to know that you can tell the difference, because I can tell the difference when I'm writing.

Snape can't kill Hermione! Please let him use the drowning sleep potion and then let him "dipose of the body" by taking her to a safehouse or something and then lift the potion. Also please let their feelings for each other not be cumpulsion. That would be very sad.
