Yes, Severus was starting to come around. I have Lucius as a good friend and close enough to say what he thinks, even the blunt truth. Snape is going to be dealing with a lot and will see just how strong and wiling Hermione is in trying to make this work - but he's really testing her. No, this Hermione is only 18 or so, in her first real relationship and she's Bonded to the man - not someone her age but a man - with a past and walls and layers and stubborn... her guilt and her innocence as well as her youth does have her feeling a bit overwhelmed.  She will surprise him and hopefully not too late...

Yea, well, he’s still a bit off at being trapped by Hermione, so he’s still being a selfish git. However, Lucius did knock some sense into his thick head.  Hermione’s reaction is actually borrowed from canon… and comes up in the next chapter. The rest of the family isn’t in any trouble.
