A 30-something aspiring romance novelist shamelessly (and obsessively) devoted to Harry Potter and many other geeky fandoms. I ship mostly Hermione/Snape and Harry/Hermione, but have been known to dabble in others.

Oh, I'm glad Hermione and Ginny are no longer on the outs. WIth everything going on, they will need all the support they can get. I look forward to the next chapter.

i like the way you're representing Hermione's relationships with different people as different types of knotsi can't wait to read 'bout Snape's reaction to seeing the dressi hope on the big night Hermione won't have to ''think about england'' too muchalthough ''perfect firsts'' in MLC fics are getting old, for me at leastmuch prefer ''imperfect, but intriguing''

Response from LadyTuesday (Author of Tying Knots)

I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far, and I can't wait to see Snape's reaction to the dress either ^_^Oh, and I totally agree with you about 'perfect firsts'.  Firsts, in this case, are rarely, if ever, perfect.  This one certainly won't be, though I do hope it will be intriguing ^_^Thanks for reviewing!

Response from Anathema (Reviewer)

Wow, that must be the quickest Author's Response I've ever got! You've made me even more anxious to read the about the wedding (and the wedding night).Argh!Update soon, please!

Good Lord! The way you wrote all that legal stuff! Are you a Lawyer?

I thought that Draco was Hermione's age - that is 17 not 18? How can Lucius arrange a marriage with Draco if he's under the age of the law?  I missed something, apparently.

Hi are we going to have further developments to this fantastic story?I like the plot very much and I think it would be good to read more.

Now all we need is to find out that Severus was standing outside the door to the study under a Disillusionment Charm and heard and saw everything.

I feel so sorry for everyone in this chapter, and I hope finding out that Ginny is in love with him will take Harry's attention off Hermione.  She doesn't love him that way, but in a moment of extreme emotional fatigue, she gave into his need to hold her and her need to be held.

Despite all the sadness, this chapter was damned good, and I think it will ultimately prove to be a turning point of sorts.  I can't wait to see how you resolve these conflicting interactions.  Well done.

This is a phenomenal "Marriage Law" story. Awesome detailed accounts of the dread facing these characters. Love that Snape is dark and brooding and aloof. Harry and Hermione is a little disconcerting, but I can see it. I love the dialogue and little nuances that make the story. Please update and continue this story. It has so much potential.

wow!  she doesn't have red hair for nothing!!  poor hermione.  what a messed up convoluted situation, rather "knotty"
great update.  thanks so much

It could have been worse....if Snape had seen them. But Ginny is right in a way. I don't know what she is thinking.

Wow - great fight scene - and I totally agree with Ginny - does that make me a bad reader??  Actually - great realism in your plot and their reactions to it - thanks so much for your hard work

Hermione is having one mess of a day. Her parents, Ginny, Severus, Ron and Harry, looks like nothing makes sense. I'm so glad to see another post for this story. Wonderful update, looking forward to the next.

Oh well done!  I've read all kinds of "let's tell the parents" scenes, with positive, negative, grief-stricken, and non-comittal reactions, but this was a well-handled 'tempestuous' one.

Nothing like some good old-fashioned opposition to cause forces to "unite", is there?  I believe this is the first time Snape has referred to her so positively?  And she will recall that, once she's had time to recover.

It is to be hoped that her parents can still come around to a measure of acceptance, and redeem themselves (along with all "muggle-dom") in Severus' eyes.  Maybe via Hermione and her mum, the two of them can out-fox the men's testosterone-laced reactivity.

well, i'm hooked. Hope an update comes soon ;)

yike!  what a tempestuous scene.  i can surely sympathize with both sev and hermione's father.  i hope the come to the ceremony, tho.  thanks so much

WoW!!!  what a great read!  Thank you so much - loved Snape's speech at the end - nothing like a shared enemy on both fronts to unite them in the middle!

Well that went well... I know he got punched and her father was quite insulting, but what on earth was Severus thinking when he grabbed her breast in front of her parents?! My dad would've pulled out a shotgun...LoL

Eeep, that didn't go quite as planned, did it? I adore this story and am held in anxious anticipation for the next chapter!

Oh, and I really hate doing this because I really don't want to offend, so please, please know that that's not what I'm trying to do, but this sentence:

'“Well, now,” Hermione’s father began, obviously pleased, “so nice to have you hear, Sir..."'

It should be here, instead of hear. *ducks* I just thought you'd want to know. Thank you again for such a lovely chapter!!!

Ugh!  I agree with Snape.  Her father disgusted me.  At least her mother seemed to want to understand.  I loved how Severus stood up for her.  Can't wait for the next chapter.  Wonderful!!

Mooncat

Gosh, that went well... My - you're certainly turning up the heat with this one! I look forward to the rest of this; I'm really enjoying it. Thank you for posting it, Cat

well that went well... ok not really.  what a jerk hermione's dad is.  severus didn't do much better, but he was nicer than the father.  can't wait to read more, this is great.
