Oh man what a sad chapter - they found so much contentment with each other and then the ring in the box spoils it all. Severus is jumping to conclusions - I think and the both will suffer because of it.

I am glad that Hermione is so forgiving. I still find it strange that Ron would just place an engagement ring in her jewelry bag. Did he expect her to find it randomly and be so excited that she agrees to marry him? At least he didn't ruin her relationship with Severus for good. Hopefully Hermione and Severus didn't get into too much trouble for breaking their cover. At least Apperson was caught and information can be obtained from him.

Great finish , I like the way he came home and she was waiting for him knowing he would come back.

Wow, there is such an incredible amount of passion between them, and Severus had to muck things up by assuming too easily that he was going to be hurt again. I understand it, but I feel bad for them both. I can't wait to see what happened to Hermione and what happens to their relationship. Very enjoyable chapter!

Oh, yippee for Virgin!Snape. I love that Hermione is the one to "break him in". She has managed to demonstrate that Lily just wasn't the perfect girl JKR tried to make her be, specifically to Severus. And Lily was petty, and unforgiving, and selfish. I'm glad you included that revelation.

You do have them partnered well - I think that either Victor or Ronald is the man that Severus was referring to in chapter 1 but it is not the case - he read too much into it. Cannot wait for number 3.

Good first chapter - very interesting beginning and how Severus is tending her. Who could he think she belongs to -good twist - cannot wait to see how far things had gotten with Hermione and Severus and what drove him away.
