Wonderful.  I love the choice of poem, too.

Response from selinabln (Author of What It Is)

Merci :-)

I have known and loved the poem for a long time, but when I reread it in January it really struck me that it would perfectly mirror Severus' feelings and insecurities when it comes to affection and love, his inner battle between heart and mind.

Good one-shot - liked the Narcissa helping Hermione aspect- good explanation of that

Response from selinabln (Author of What It Is)

Merci :-)

Narcissa's instinct to protect her cub has always outweighed everything else, even her loyality to Voldemort, therefore i thought it would be a realistic explanation.

Thanks for reviewing.

Love, love, love it. This is like a nice little compact fic that I can fit in my metaphorical pocket and carry around. Am I making any sense? It's just the perfect piece of goodness that I needed for my, pardon me, shitty Sunday evening. Thanks for an awesome fic,Sue.and who wrote the poem? it's so lovely. i wrote it down on my hand :)

Response from selinabln (Author of What It Is)

You make perfectly sense :-) It was my first piece of fanfiction after reading HG/SS-stories for over 2 years that's why it is small, compact and throws the reader fully into the crucial moment.... :-)

I am really happy you like it so much.

Have I missed to name the author of the poem? Well, that's something I need to change immediatly, it is the "What It is" from the Austrian poet Erich Fried. If you don't find it online, I am perfectly willing to send it to you per mail :-)

Response from ickle duddykins (Reviewer)

I just found some of Erich Fried's poems translated to English online. How have a never read anything by him? Beautiful poetry. "Unplanned" really reminded me of Hermione/Snape actually. Weird.

Have a good one,

Sue.

This made my heart ache for Severus as she continued until her feelings were revealed as well.  Wonderfully written!
