I have just come across this story and have to congratulate on your truly lovely writing and characterisation; well done. This is really good. I've gradually been working my way through it and am really glad you decided to expand on what should have been a 'one-shot'. I come across so few writers worthy of high praise but you are most definitely one and I really look forward to the next update of this delightful story now :-)

So he now knows that it was Hermione that was taking care of him. All assumptions of her not wanting to or mocking him are gone and that she really cares. What will he now do with this new found evidence. I cannot wait to read.

Wow. I never thought of the curse having side affects like that. And to see him there sleeping at the table--tha'ts kinda sexy... but why he was there wan't... but still...

what a terrific chapter. so they each have their need to know. watching as severus watched that scene in the pensieve brought tears to my eyes, much as the original story undoubtedly did. and the scene between him and lucius was brilliant, giving a glimpse into poor severus's bitterness and self-loathing. i loved this: "Always, when he had thought he had reached the final stage of hell, another trap door opened beneath him. And right now he was falling again." that seems like an apt metaphor for his life. sad.
