Oh how funny. I had no idea hippogriffs could talk! I had assumed in the beginnig that they were talking because Sirius was in his animal form. Like he did with Crooks.

I liked Moon Dancers, aka Buckbeak's story.

His dam was delightful, thinking she'd ruined everything by forgetting to say surprise! Cute, doll, really fun.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Not to toot my own horn, but you may wish to try Zazza's Tale. I think it was a bit better than Buckbeak's Birthday. This was written for my children (the oldest of whom started kindergarden) wheras Zazza is a bit more grown up.Thanks for the read and the review!

that was a really sweet story. and timely - i just got home from celebrating my sister's birthday. i really liked the backstory you imagined for buckbeak/whitherwings/moon dancer. a delightful read.
