I'm new to James/Sirius, it is not a story I would normally read.  I'm glad I gave it a try! This was so well written, I just have to say well done!

I had to pause for a moment because 'induced' just immediately had 'induced labour' spring into my mind, and then I was thinking mpreg... LOL Luckily, that didn't happen!

I like James/Sirius a lot, and don't even mind it being in a canon context with James/Lily happening too, but I find it a bit hard to see (at least in canon) the complex relationship between Lily, James and Sirius working in the way you've descirbed because I just can't see them being that blatantly disrespectful (aka obvious) (particularly if James is deeply in love with Lily) or her being that bitchy... Maybe a bit of extra length would have helped with that, though, and elucidated the complexities that might form in the Sirius-Lily relationship, but maybe it's all there, just deep between the lines...

for this story, i think james was just with lily for appearences, or he was too silly to realize that he didn't really love her. and come on, wouldn't you be a tad bitchy if you knew what was going on between them?

and yeah, i think you have to read between the lines a bit with this fic.

Great story, very well written.  This was a new pairing for me.  I had only read SB/RL or Sirius with a woman before.  I liked this take.  Things sure would have turned out different if James stayed with Sirius instead of Lily but then we would not have Harry either.  So either way life is what you make it.
