Oh, that was sad, but necessary. I love the way the relationship between Hermione and Severus is slowly changing into what we saw in the first chapter – I can’t wait for that passion to explode between them. I’m also very intrigued with Lily and her feelings towards Hermione. Surely, there have to be some emotional consequences to the physical relationship they share. Great job! I can’t wait for the next chapter!

OMG!  I felt so sorry for Severus.  He has been tormented by the Marauders, and been the subject of a plot fomented by the Slytherins and Sirius Black.  And now Severus will have lost Lily for good.  He didn't see Lily smile when James had first hexed up into the air, did she?  Lily is not a nice girl.  Poor Severus.I'm glad Hermione was there to comfort Severus in the Forbidden Forest.  At least he has her as his friend.Fabulous story, Livvy.  Bloody brilliant!Beth

As much as I hate to agree with Avery, Lily really is tiresome. I really like the idea of the scene by the lake being a set up by the Slytherins and Black.  I hope you write more scenes with Avery, his behavior toward Hermione is interesting.

Oh goody! I usually shy away from Timefics because they all seem to follow the line of "Hermione's sent back, becomes extrememly popular, Severus forgets that lily exists so he can bask in H's glow..." But this isn't like that at all! It's fleshed out, dark, and no bubbles and sunshine right of the bat! However....sunshine would be perfectly acceptable later on, *wink*

Oh, I really can't stand Lily.  Moreso than usual.  She's such a user, not talking to Snape for two months, then having this relationship with him.  I'm sure we know what will happen, she will leave him, complaining about his Darkness.  Hermione, of course, sees it all clearly.  Cukoohead doesn't see the whole picture and is living in fantasy land or something.  Obviously, she'll break his heart.  I have to shake my head at Severus' haughtyness at times.  Like when he says Lily will be his.  It's kind of funny to have him be arrogant, yet insecure at the same time.

I'm enjoying this story tremendously.  Hermione's relationships with Lily and Severus are particularly complex and fascinating. I love getting her take on their personalities and situations; wanting to be friends, to protect them, but also knowing that the future will be different.  I'm also really enjoying the position of knowing more of canon than the characters.  Since Hermione goes back to the past so young, she has less insight on Snape than she might have (no, would have, would have!) developed in later years in her own time.  It's very compelling stuff.

Another great chapter. I have never taught that Lily was as understanding or as selfless as the books made her out to be. I love the way that you are writeing her. The look you are giving us into the past is riviting. Cannot wait for the next chapter.

Are they still in their 3rd year here? I'm hoping there'll be some sort of explanation further in, because it's honestly really disturbing to me that the US equivalent of 8th graders are enaging in any sort of sexual acts at all, even to further the plot.Maybe I'm behind the times, but I would be sickened to find out that my 8th grade child was engaging in oral sex.  I know there's more going on in the story than that, but it's enough of a turnoff that I probably wont' continue reading.It was an interesting premise, and good luck with the rest of it.

Great update! I'm really enjoying the way you are writing Lily. It makes Severus' intense canon connection to her more believable. What an entertaining story! I read all of it and enjoyed every minute. I loved how you gave the readers a tease in the first chapter of Hermione and Severus' grown up, discussing their past love life. This is giving great anticipation as to how their friendship is developing now and for future chapters. Eagerly await the update!

Fish and bird, I love that analogy.  Good for Hermione for being strong and not backing down!  Severus really is between a rock and a hard place.  I reel sorry for him.  It's too bad he can't wake up and see his relationship with Lily for what it is.
