Sorry about the medical goof-up and I appreciate the comments. The story is complete and I hope to post weekly. ^_^
Interesting start.Just nitpicking here, but if you inject into an artery in his arm, the dose will go down to his hand. What you want, I think, is intravenous (into a vein), so it will travel back up the arm & then round the body. All the pedantic medicos will be gnashing their teeth. :)

Thanks. Not being a medico persona, I really wasn't aware of the difference. Appreciate the heads up. Of course, my main complaint about needles is when the tech says "Little stick" and it feels like they stuck a railroad spike into my arm. ^_^
Loving the story and the co-conspirators. And I shan't complain about the length of this chapter if another quickly follows it ;) haha xx

Are we talking about the Page 394 Challenge? Heh heh... Anyway, a great chapter as always and I love reading the staff interactions concerning the various bets they have going on! No matter who wins, the results are going to be hilarious. But I must admit that my hopes are doubly pinned on Hermione so that Severus can get that extra money from Lucius to make up his salary deficits.However...what happens to everyone's wagers if they should tie?

My old MD in California once prescribed caffeine for one of my headaches. Said it was better than aspirin. *grin* Tastes better too. The next chapter will be awhile yet. My Britpicker is moving house and hasn't been able to get to it. I'll put it into queue as soon as I go over his corrections. ^_^
Excellent! Definitely one of my favorite stories and one I plan to reread again in the future. Beautifully written and I love the fleshed out characters of Hermione's parents and Draco's parents. Thank you for sharing.

You're welcome. I'm working on a sequel about the wedding (or I was before my knee surgery) so it might get finished someday. ^_^
Severus and Minerva are going to make out like bandits in the betting pool! That should make up for any "Severus-sized headaches" brought on (although I think I'd need more than brownies, something with gooey fudge included)... Also glad to see that he's settling back into his rooms comfortably and enjoying doing more for himself. Hope we get to discover the NEWT results fairly soon, the anticipation is killing me!

You know, if it weren't for the fact that Ginny and Harry are engaged, I would suspect that Draco might have a thing for redheads. They're entering the same profession, after all... On that note, I'm glad to see Ginny will be heading to Hogwarts! Someone else for Hermione to bounce ideas off when she's attempting to decipher other relationships. I adore Draco and Hermione as friends - they both give as good as they get!

Oh dear! Severus is planning. . . . how exciting! And several wagers, I hope Hermione wins, but I guess we will have to wait and see.A cute, entertaining chapter. I wnjoyed the exchange between Severus and Filius, quite fun. And the obvious comradery between Hermione and Draco is pleasant - does Draco have a little crush on Hermione? Looking forward to the next chapter indeed.

Thank you. Yes, Severus is plotting. The plot thickens in Chapter 10, which is in the queue. With the amount of stories in there, will probably be next week before it's up, though. Sorry. ^_^

He may be the recipient of a Howler... Lucius and Narcissa's smiles at "the kids" may be the result of their seeing burgeoning romance in the air. Both Draco and Hermione would probably be horrified at the thought, but I bet that's what the elder Malfoys are thinking!Looking forward to seeing what happens next--so I'm off to the next chapter!
