This story begins shortly after the disastrous visit by Harry and Hermione to Godric’s Hollow where they found Nagini. Hermione seeks to find a new wand for Harry after having broken his, and she gets a little more than she bargained for. Canon is changed only where absolutely necessary. I know you wrote this years ago, but I've just read it now. It's a great story. You've captured the desperation of war, you've softened Snape while keeping him believable, and made Hermione a very believable young mum. I also liked the Grangers very much, and I can't wait to start the sequel to see what Snape's other assistants (one aka his mother) do with Hermione and Andrew
