In re-reading Ch 5, I noted this little shady place. In reference to Severus using legilimency on HG in Great Hall, you wrote: "She closed her eyes, inviting him in. The fingers of his consciousness reached out to her and caressed the recesses of her mind intimately, drawing out the images of her and him, her with him, her thinking about him." ...I've just checked it out at the Lex and Snape always looked into their eyes to be able to use the spell.

Well, I actually researched this before writing it. The Lexicon states this: " Legilimency is easier when the spell-caster is physically near the target, and when the target is off-guard, relaxed, or otherwise vulnerable. Eye contact is often essential, so it is useful for a Legilimens to verbally manipulate his or her target into meeting the Legilimens' eyes, with the fringe benefit that the target's emotional state may bring relevant associated memories to the surface (OP24, OP26)."
It says eye contact is often essential, but not that it is always needed. If Snape were an expert Legilimens, I'm sure he could get away with it. Still, in this chapter, eye contact was made when he initiated the spell.
Also, it never says for absolute certain if the eye contact must be maintained once the spell has taken hold. It mentions 'eyes boring' into the other's and how he avoiding making eye contact or Harry looked away from Snape. But it is never clear whether the Legilimency spell is terminated completely if one were to close one's eyes. It is a grey area and there are a couple opinions written by the owners of HPL, but this is one of the places where I feel writer's liberty is fine to use.
I love this story and have despaired of you ever finishing it! Please continue and finish the tale!

Wonderful wonderful wonderful! I loved this update. Hermione is still young, and willingly admits this. I enjoy how you have shown she is separate from her own age group, yet not on the level of those older.
I think a little Creevy is going to bust them though. His poor little heart will break when he sees his crush with the Head of Slytherin!
Can't wait for the next update!

Oh gods, notsosaintly! Please, don't leave it there! This is an awesome story! I remember reading it a long time ago, but when it was still in it's infancy, and now that I've re-read the chapters I had originally started, and read the remaining until now unread chapters, I find myself fully caught up in their passion and I want to read more! Excellent job!

Thank you! I'll definitely continue the story, though I'm trying at the moment to finish another. This one is sort of canon-resistant, I think, so it'll still be fine after the last book comes out.
My god this story is HOT! I do hope you will be updating it at some point soon as I would love to read what happens next. I wish someone would seduce me in such a way. Very well written.Heather

I'm happy that you loved the tension, the slow build-up and the steamy notes. And, you're right, thank goodness for darkened alcoves. I'm currently scheming over what will happen next!
I predict months of building sexual tension and angst waiting for the damn school to be done with so they can get it on!! Although Id rather they dont wait. Those note were so steamy!
