Grim!  That is Severus' new name!  How apropos for the situation in which he was found!  His physical condition was so sad:  broken ribs, a broken leg that had been made to heal wrong, welts and bruises all over his body.  Thank goodness that Harry was able to repair his broken leg and ribs!Good for Harry that he was able to get information from Alastor about the Soulstriking spell.  Hopefully they will be able to figure out how to undo this ghastly punishment!Since the spell can only be undone by someone who truly loves Severus, I hope her heart will embrace him with love enough to restore his soul to him.Well done!Beth

This is such a dark and dire time for Severus.  I'm glad that Hermione and Harry are going to bid for the Potions master to save him from falling in the hands of someone who would want only to harm him.And who knew Rita Skeeter would become a member of the Order?  Is there nothing that Cornelius Fudge can't manage to accomplish with his heavy handed and insane actions?I like your story!Beth

Wonderful chapter, and the name riddle is quite the thing - though my language skills aren't sufficient to attempt a solution, I'm afraid. So I simply wil read on.

Author's Response: Oh I knew my copying spell was mangled. I snagged the words for "copy" and "this" out of an online German dictionary and butchered them until I had something I liked the sound of.  I did the same thing with Harry's bone-healing spell (mangled Welsh in that case) in one of the earlier chapters.
