I'm a 26-year-old Accounts Payable manager for a construction company. Basically, I'm paid to write checks and intimidate the menfolk around here. I live with my boyfriend and our dog. I wasn't sucked into the HP fandom until just after the release of HBP. So, I'm a newbie compared to most of the fans out there. I've written in several other fandoms (under different pennames) - Anita Blake, Buffy, X-Files, etc.

Thank you! I would haven written more of Hermione's story, but it was too hard to keep the two of them apart for much longer. So, they might throw literature to the wind and do the deed themselves in the next two chapters. ;-)

Poor Moine, she really does need to work thru all that pain. I cant wait to see how she writes her very own smut novel and to see how Severus reacts to it. I know you said once weekly but....dang, want more now!!

Hermione might pounce before he does. She's a firecracker, you know. ;-)
Woo-hoo! She's thinking of writing it, he's teasing her into doing it, and she's even had the quill in hand! It's only a matter of time now.
But what to do about her grief? Will the writing be theraputic, or will she find a way to be happy again? Will Severus help her with that, too?

Her budding relationship with Severus will be more theraputic than anything. She's cut herself off from the people in her life, and Severus drags her back out into the real world and makes her actually want to interact with him. She'll finally realize what a catch Snape is in the next chapter. She's a bit slower than all of us since we already knew he was pretty hot.

I'm hit or miss with the writing. I go through months without writing a thing, and then I get the urge to write multiple stories at once. Anyway, I'm really glad you're enjoying this one. I set out with a mission to write Snape differently than I had written him before, but to keep him as in-character as possible.
Excellent beginning. I am enjoying the building interaction between Severus and Hermione. Sounds like he's just what she needs right now!

I love fics where Severus swoops in and comforts Hermione and gets all lovey-dovey, but I just can't make him act that way for me. So, instead, I decided to make him help her in his own self-centered sort of way. He gets laid, and Hermione gets a friend (and laid). ;-)
Great story. I like the way that Snape and Hermione are both in new territory when it comes to flirting. They are both so naive in recognizing and accepting a flirtatious comment, yet understand the satisfaction of receiving a positive reaction from the other. Love the slow pace. I really love the line Snape gives about the chance to use his infamous red quill, it really ties the name of the story with the tone of their relationship. Please update soon!
