All is not as it seems. The world of wizards is full of lies and half-truths.
Over twenty years ago, Severus Snape fell in love with Lily Evans, and he never stopped loving her. His every move, his every thought, is purely for her. And he has only one place, a room, hidden deep under the lake, where he can relax, not worry about whom he is spying on, what he should be saying and doing, where his loyalties lie. Somewhere he can reminisce about his childhood days there with Lily, to allow himself space to grieve.
That though, as with everything else, is about to change.

OMG. I was having real trouble with Hermione being Lily, now Severus is looking like Ron. I'm going to go screaming for the hills. My beloved Potions Master is gone.

This is a neat and wierd story all at once! So, Hermione was really Lily and Severus has become Ron (so to speak). Cool. I did not see that coming but I have to say I love the neat little package you have wrapped everything up into. I look forward to the epilogue!

yet another twist i never saw coming. way to have it all, huh? very strange and kind of hard to wrap my brain around, but - it is nice to have a happy ending for severus/lily.

i would have to agree with you. after dh i pretty much think severus deserves whatever happiness we fans can give him, and i like that you figured out a way to give him a happy ending with his one true love, and yet make it totally dh-infamous-epilogue compliant - plus satisfy the ss/hg shippers! while you took some pretty startling turns along the way, i'm impressed that you managed to pull that off.
Mmm, after a while I thought this twist became obvious, but I kind of hoped it wouldn't happen. Now that it has... I really have no further interest in this story. :( Sorry.

He's also got to be feeling a little insecure about their relationship - after all, she's 18 and he's fortyish.

Oh man how brutal can he be in this one-al;ways doubting but I do not doubt that this is his and I do not blame her for what she is going to do - I can see her forcing him out of her mind and asking him to leave. Severus is about to lose out - I am affraid.

Pregnant and camping with two guy friends, needing to pee every half hour, what fun. How could Severus think Hermione has been unfaithful? Of course she is behaving as if she is hiding something. What could it be?
