Interesting way to end it - I cannot believe that she did what she did - I had hoped that she would bring him back. It was a good story but I had been hoping for a different ending.

That was even better of an ending. I'm glad Hermione decided to stay with Severus. The way you wrote her life earlier made it perfect for her to stay, instead of trying to get Severus to go back with her. I really loved this story!

beautifully written as ever. i guess i should have seen that coming, given the title, so why didn't i? i found it slightly disturbing, although i suppose that is probably a more plausible ending than severus coming back with her and leading a happy life. i'm not sure about hermione embracing her death like that, but i suppose given all the circumstances, it could happen. so this is either a happy sad ending or a sad happy ending.

but persephone only had to go there six months of the year, whereas this case is a bit more final. i guess maybe that's what surprised me. yeah, i suppose i really imagined her splitting her time between england and the underworld! talk about silly. ; )

Wow, Severus still has a temper. I liked the points he made though. Don't feel bad for the delay in update, I'm working on a story that is taking forever because my life got unexpectedly busy (my husband and a friend went into business for themselves). We authors have to remember that even though we love the Potter Universe, we still have to pay the bills! :D

Interesting first chapter - please write more. It was thought provoking as to why his portrait would not come to life and in her desperation - I feel Hermione will find the answers whether it is Severus to the land of the living or Severus to finally find his way to the beyond.
