I really am pitying the poor sod. He should really make a big effort to NOT break her heart.
Now that's love...and with so many daughters, I imagine both Severus and Hermione are well-versed by now in the ways to dispatch treacherous ex-suitors (and hide the evidence afterwards)! 
But perhaps Aussie will beat them to it and do the honors herself.

I once scolded my spouse for terrifying my girls' boyfriends. His only comment? "I want the last thing they see before leaving the house with my girls to be my face.... and I'm not smiling." Needless to say, we raised strong young women who grew to love equally strong young men. Ah fathers.... heaven bless 'em.

*chuckle* The thought had occurred to me… though I think finding lads for our ladies would be a far more dangerous undertaking than it was in the backwoods. (^_~)

I am thinking quite the obstacle course or challenge. In the ways of muggle fairy tales for the knight/prince to claim the princess. But then, no daughter of granger/snape would want that now would they? they'd hex first talk later...lol
