WOW! Poor Hermione. What a predicament to be in - and at Snape's mercy the entire time. I can't imagine what would cause such shame in her. The thought makes me shudder.

Very intriguing beginning. At first I thought the petrificus was something Severus charmed his office to do anytime there was an intruder. Can't wait to find out what happened.

A really intriguing beginning, setting up the circumstances very nicely, with the characters very much in character.  I like the way you've left a mysterious gap between Hermione's departure for his quarters and his finding her Petrified inside them.  I look forward to reading more of this!

Loved the glimpse into Severus's head that we get in this chapter. I also loved the respect he has for her research. The confrontation with Malfoy was icing on the cake. ;) Excellent chapter.

I finished reading this on FanFiction.net, as I couldn't wait for the next chapters to show up here! I really enjoyed this story. I was also pleased to read that you are working on some original works with a view to be published. That has always been one of the things that has amazed me about the fanfiction world; the quality of some of the writing, and I have often wondered why more writers don't try original work, because so many write such very high quality stories. And now I find that one (at least) fanfiction writer is doing just that! Bravo! Good luck!

Well that was unfortunate.  Although it gave Hermione a reprieve from having to answer about going to the ball.

I am glad that Snape was intereted in her research.  It would have made things worse for her if she had gotten them into this mess over something silly.  Not that Hermione would do such a thing ...

I just read through this whole fic -- awesome!  Interesting premise, and I'll be watching for more. 

Just found this last night and have devoured every chapter.  I can't wait for more!  

Well, at least that is over and done with.  I thought that Snape could have treated her a little better.  I didn't expect romance or anything, and I know that he was trying hard not to enjoy this, but it seems that he sort of forgot that she is a young girl being asked to do something extreme with the least likely person of all.  Still, she seemed to enjoy it from a learning standpoint.  So typical Hermione, LOL.  And then the end ... what is he going to do?

I love her enjoyment, which was mixed with a clinical detachment, which is more than I can say for Severus.  Ah, well.

Pretty intense. I love that she felt empowered by what she could do to him.

Now I wonder how he will survive the next meeting. Will she help him to create some new memories that will save his life?
