Wow. Not the same. Glad I came to read this one! Instead of hacking out short bits, you should take this idea about Severus and his 'aura of death' and just make a longer fic out of it. It's interesting and I'd like to see what you would do with the relationship between SS and HG. Only thing is, you'd sort of have to explain to Dumbledore, Narcissa, maybe Voldemort, as to what happend to Draco. Oops, it was an accident?

Okay, yeah, I liked this one better;) 

I do not know why there are two versions. I'm not sure I want to read the second as I found the first to my liking. If the second is the same as the first, only gentler, I'm not sure I should like Snape gentler than this. But if he just blows Hermione off for her hesitation, I don't think I'd care for that either. I suppose the only way I'll know is to go...

I wonder, have you ever read any of the books from the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton?
