Liked this chapter and I do not particular care for Miranda- I know Severus had a dream of them together but she is just too too- ehh- cold or slightly snobby maybe. Hermione on the other hand is the Princess of Griffindore - really she is a lioness and this chapter was a little difficult to take in the sense that she felt slightly weak to me - Miranda better watch out because Hermione is polite but she can roar and all cats have claws - lol

Exactly - Hermione is polite, not weak. She's also feeling her way into being a teacher, and that's not easy to do (as I know from personal experience). You can bet Hermione will toughen up pretty soon. Thanks for reviewing!

Ugh, that BITCH is awful! Hermione should have stood her ground. I don't know what Miranda is up to, but I hope Snape doesn't get sucked into her plans and instead goes to Hermione.

Gah! Miranda is such a bitch! That was very wrong of her to undermine Hermione's authority like that.
It's interesting to see the dichotomy between Severus' interactions with the two women: His attraction to Miranda seems mostly physical and based on lust (although there is SOME intellectual stuff, Severus wouldn't want a stupid woman), and his interactions with Hermione show that, even if he doesn't want to admit it yet, he cares for her somehow, in a way that's more than just lust.
