I am amazed and enthralled with the Harry Potter universe, with the emphasis on Snape. HG/SS is my favorite ship (you have been warned). I like sci-fi ? Star Wars, Quantum Leap, Star Trek, and Ray Bradbury to name a few. Horror also catches my interest as in Stephen King. I am a married, mother of two teenagers, multiple pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, turtle), and I work way too many hours. The rest is window dressing and subject to change without notice. Prompt: AU, EWE: Hurt/comfort. Years after the final battle, Hermione struggles daily with the after effects of Bellatrix Lestrange's special brand of Crucio. St. Mungo's advises treating the symptoms, but Hermione wants to live her life. She goes to the oldest center of Wizarding population, Alexandria, Egypt, chasing a rumour: a Potions master with a dual expertise in Legilimency. For some reason, he doesn't want to help her. Without knowing his true identity, Hermione must persuade him she is worth his time. Romance, happy ending please. (Bonuses include: archaeology, magical artifacts, history, dusty libraries, and moments of crazy stupid in love).

I saw you die.” Hermione’s face turned deathly white as she stared at the profile of the man she thought had died and left her alone to face the world without him. Time has started to run backward for our heroine, as we watch the story of her love affair with one Severus Snape play out from finish to start and start again. *Mostly DH compliant, but definitely EWE.
The idea for this odd fic comes from the Seinfeld episode, “The Apology.” The story runs backwards from the start of the episode when the group is attending a wedding in India, back to the beginning (or the very last scene of the episode) when the invitation to the wedding arrives in the mail, stuttering back randomly every few minutes as events are presented in reverse order.

Had anyone told him he would be enjoying the ample "favours" of the not-so-bookish know-it-all by the end of the day in an effort to get back to their reality, he would have promptly committed them to St Mungo's. But reality has a way of turning on you, and magic can have many different meanings.

He’d have thought it impossible to infuse such annoyance into a stuffed doll, but the evidence sat uncomfortably in his hands. Prodding the doll, he snarled as several question sprang to mind: Who created the doll (though the crossed WWW on the doll’s tag answered the who, more or less, just not which of the Weasley brothers he should kill), and why create a plush likeness of himself? But, really, the main question that echoed over and over in his mind was: Why was the doll anatomically correct, and why had he found a copy of the plushie on Hermione’s workbench?
