My spin on the Marriage Law Challenge. The Ministry is forced to decree that all over-age witches and wizards must marry in order to counteract a curse placed by Voldemort. With the help of the Amans Revelare spell, the Ministry pairs Hermione with the last person she would have expected.

I've been writing since I was 11 or 12, so about ten years. I write anything from fantasy to sci-fi to historical fiction. I am currently a college student who aspires to become an archaeologist.

Love the pacing you've set with this. Slow and steady is better than fast and excitable any day, in my opinion. ^_^

A lovely pace, it can be a little disconcerting, to suddenly find yourself knee deep in lemons.
{not that theres anything wrong with lemons, it's just nice to build up to these things. 
}

I like the slow build. Ok, we know who she'll end up with because of the category, but still, it's nice that you're not rushing it. I always think it's a bit of a shame that we can't withold the category at the beginning of the story to make it a surprise, but the I suppose some people may not bother reading a story if they didn't know what the pairing was. :)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure non-SS/HG-ers wouldn't appreciate getting sucked into a story only to find out they don't like the pairing. ;) But really, I can't see this story being anything but slow.

I am a sucker for a MLC fic. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Though, I am curious how you will do it. One item pops up for me. Hermione is Muggleborn, how does this Law affect her, when the Law put in place was meant for Purebloods [and most likely halfbloods]. Wouldn't she be exempt from the law?

I must guiltily admit that I really like MLC stories and have been recently slogging thru many BAD ones thinking I had finally read all the good ones. SO HAPPY to see someone writing one again!!! And nice twist with the curse. Hope you are/have a fast writer/beta-er/que-er!

I like the twist with the curse. It seems Herms need to find a husband who is intelligent enough to help her lift the curse, because that is undoubtly what she wants. Hope you'll update soon!
