This is a story inspired by the Tim McGraw song, "If You're Reading This." This is NOT a songfic. What happens when Hermione's dreams don't exactly turn out the way she had planned? Will she be able to deal with the hand that life dealt her?

I've been posting on here for a while and have decided to update my profile. I'm 30ish... I have a husband... I have two daughters... and other various creatures living at my house. My real life consists of work, fanfiction (which sometimes supercedes work), and chasing after my teen and tween.

Well, not for this chapter at least. I'm so happy you're enjoying my little fic. It was only suppose to be about 5 chapters, but the characters had other ideas for me.

So right drama, drama, drama but sad and the way Severus made Ron feel at ease. That was just beautiful. I love it.

Thank you so much. I just love these characters, and I'm so used to reading Ron portrayed as a complete jerk in the SS/HG fics, that I just wanted to paint him in a more mature fashion. Unfortunately, he had to die. ~potterbrat~
I'm glad everyone seemed to accept the name change!
It might have been better if she'd told someone before... the Weasleys, Molly in particular, might easily have been hurt by it. On the other hand, this seems like the sort of impulsive thing Ron might well have done, so perhaps that just shows how much she's still Ron's daughter, too. ;-)

Thank you so much. You see it exactly the way I did. I wanted to find a way to point out that she kept the Weasley name, but added Snape to it. She loves that she's Ron Weasley's daughter, but wants to pay tribute to the man that has raised her.~potterbrat~

Gosh I love cookies 
Actually I'm really bad at reviewing..........I usually get so involved in a story that I wait until I reach the final chapter. However, I was so moved by each chapter that I just HAD to review. It also gave me a little time to wipe away the tears and grab a tissue before the next bout of crying.

Oh, Amy, you know how to pull the heartstrings! Of course, I have tears coursing down my face. If anyone comes to my desk right now they'll wonder why I'm crying at work!!! What a wonderful, heart-felt release. It allows HG to move on and protects SS who must love her so much if he allowed himself to be in this man's (albeit heroic) shadow for so many years. Sigh. Great chapter. Am looking forward to the update, of course. Can it please not make me cry? Or at least be happy tears??!!

You've earned a reprieve from the tears. I am trying to make the next chapter more HG/SS. After all, she's moved on. She had to let him go for the sake of her sanity.
Okay totally crying AGAIN...soooo weepy. But I feel like I'm sitting there with them as they have this conversation! Great job putting the reader right in the middle of the scene.
