This is a story inspired by the Tim McGraw song, "If You're Reading This." This is NOT a songfic. What happens when Hermione's dreams don't exactly turn out the way she had planned? Will she be able to deal with the hand that life dealt her?

I've been posting on here for a while and have decided to update my profile. I'm 30ish... I have a husband... I have two daughters... and other various creatures living at my house. My real life consists of work, fanfiction (which sometimes supercedes work), and chasing after my teen and tween.

This is a short fic. I might write a companion fic to show when Severus was first courting Hermione. However, I've got 2 others in the works right now. I even have a comedy -- can you imagine?
I resist the whole idea. If Snape couldn't get redemption, why should Ron Weasley? It does't bear thinking about.Nice writing, though.

Awesome job. I probably should have heeded your fluff warning after reading the first chapter. Might I sugest that you also add to the warning a recommendation that the reader get tissues BEFORE starting the next chapter? The story was so good I didn't want to leave the computer for a second. Thanks!

Oh my goodness! I would say I'm sorry, but I'd be lying. I'm actually glad that my story is having this affect on people. If you look up Tim McGraw's song If You're Reading This, you will see my inspiration. I cried my eyes out the first time I heard it. I think for now on, I'll add a Mascara Alert. That do?
It might be fluffy, but I couldn't read this chapter without a kerchief either. It doesn't mean that I didn't like it, quite the contrary.

That was really well done. I actually felt bad for this Ron - a nice, loyal, mature young man (the kind we'll never really know whether he managed to turn into or not in the canon universe).
I like Ron giving Severus a reason to get in touch with Hermione, and to keep in touch with her. It's a good starting point for a friendship and other things to evolve!

As sad as it was, it was beautiful!!! I hope you will have Severus leave the messages from Ron to those left behind in the way Ron asked him to. I love Severus/ Hermione pairings, have never liked Hermione/Ron pairings, but I can like this Ron (probably because he is dying and acting like a grown-up at the same time, I am evil I know:-))Update again soon!!!

You also forced me to go back and re-read some of my chapters, which was very enlightening. I had to make a couple of changes (spelling and punctuation). Thanks for that!! That was probably the hardest chapter I've ever written. Sometimes, when people are scared and/or feel helpless, they tend to express themselves with anger and blame.I think Sev would be one of these people.
This would just about have to be Severus' worst nightmare, his daughter injured and in Neville's hands! One question though, how did Neville survive surgical residency, I've only been there as a medical student and from my distant memory some of those surgeons can make Severus look like a pussycat! ( one good reason for not practising hospital medicine !)
