i love what you've written so far. i find it sad that severus is in such sorry shape, but things are definitely looking up, aren't they? i like that the castle seems to be looking after him, providing the garden and the lab. and the house elves! and i'm looking forward to finding out more about that mysterious raven.

Brilliant update! I just love how the elves finds loopholes in Hermiones new regime to find ways to care for their wizards:-))) (And Severus needs and deserves that someone takes care of him, no matter how much he objects)And if the current head of Slytherin tries something funny, please make sure that the elves finds out, I am pretty sure they will know how to deal with anyone who tries to hurt "their Headmaster Snape".

Great story so far. I had a feeling that the garden she couldn't find would play a part in the story. Can't wait to read more. I am curious, what is the time frame? How many years have passed (or did I miss that?) Obviously it has been awhile since Minerva is gone now and Hermione is old enough to be headmistress.

I have often wondered how Severus would truly be if he had survived. I think you have charaterized him well. It's at least the way I would see him at this time in his life. I can't help but feel sorry for him.

I absolutely adore this! I am so looking forward to "see" the secrets of the garden and the extra room to be revealed, why is Severus theh one who can access them? Are they accessable due to him now have ownership ot these specific rooms, or is it because he is Severus? And, what exactely is a knot garden? (English is not my native language and I haven't heard this expression before). I am also extremely pleased that "dunderheads" is still used by Severus, he shouldn't be too meek:-))I look forward for the next update!!!

Thanks - and those are very good questions.A knot garden is a type of formal garden where the plants are planted in an intricate knotted shape - usually hedged. Very often, they contain herbs or medicinal plants - a google search will show you examples.
