Thank you. They are engaged in a complex dance, with each other as much as her, though left to their own devices, it would be a far more dangerous one.

I suppose he'd grown used to the portrait and hadn't thought much about it before that. What she is trying to do is hide Sirius' magical signature - from everyone but her.

Heee. Thanks for being my hundredth. And the kids and husbands ate pizza whilst I wrote what I thought would be the last chapter. I was wrong. Which means more admin work for you but also more time for me to spend with the characters. I'm sure I can figure out something for them to do...

Very nice, the plot thickens and the tension builds. I love how you're weaving these characters together. Hermione's conflict is palpable and the men's energy is vibrant. I'm eager for more story! :D

Intriguing beginning -- while I'm sorry that it took a while for me to start this, I'm not regretting that I get to read five chapters all in a row! Whoo hoo! :D

They argue to cover up how they feel, and since Severus is no longer her teacher, Hermione can finally be who she really is with him. Sirius has always been clever. Snape and Sirius have never gotten along, so it's not surprising that Sirius would find Snape's discomfort amusing.

Oh my goodness, I am completely, irrevocably hooked on this fabulous story. Sirius's line about glee being more satisfying was classic! And, oh, what a perfect image you painted of her in that nightgown... poor Severus; he's quite lost, isn't he?!

Poor Hermione, she should be able to compose a essay though. Let's hope (or not) that Severus sees right through it.I like the little mouse, it gives a bit of comic relief and it amused me seeing Hermione communicate with it.
