I'm a 26-year-old Accounts Payable manager for a construction company. Basically, I'm paid to write checks and intimidate the menfolk around here. I live with my boyfriend and our dog. I wasn't sucked into the HP fandom until just after the release of HBP. So, I'm a newbie compared to most of the fans out there. I've written in several other fandoms (under different pennames) - Anita Blake, Buffy, X-Files, etc.

There I quite a few theories I've seen, but I've promised myself that I wouldn't confirm or deny any of them. However, I will say that you'll find out for certain in Chapter 13.

Judging by the theories readers have told me, I've thrown some off and others I haven't. I curious to see if their minds change before I reveal who Snape is trying to help. Anyway, glad you're enjoying it!

I am really enjoying your story. Your continued characterization of Snape is very nicely done. I like the way you have set up the story so that grownup Hermione is confronted with the same rude, snarky Snape behavior she had known from her years at school. Its an interesting dynamic having her work for him, in forcing them to interact on a different level. It makes both of them reevaluate the perceptions they have had about each other for so many years. It seems that Hermione and Snape are in for many challenging confrontations in the future as they learn to navigate into new territory. Their metamorphasis has been fun to watch. Thanks!

I actually think that in the next couple chapters it's pretty obvious who is in the coma, but that may be because I wrote it. ;-) Anyway, I hope you continue to enjoy the fic.

You used check instead of cheek at the beginning of the chapter.
This is really a delightful, realistic romance without the forced angst and drama. Very nicely executed. I enjoyed this story immensely, and it's now a fav.

Thank you! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the fic. I tried my hardest to make it realistic. I didn't to bring in a previous crush from one or both of them, or make them feel crazy physical attraction right away. Snape helped me along because he's such a bastard. ;-)
