i'm loving this story.  of course snape had wards up, though it's a little shocking that hermione couldn't find them.  i liked how being the Bigger Person turns into Payback eventually!  and i enjoyed that Payback involved torturing snape with the attentions of too many kitties.  i don't know why hermione didn't just go to dumbledore for help - but then i guess you eliminate the drama, and where's the fun in that?!  i wonder if the starglass is what snape was hoping for.  looking forward to the next!

I just love this story so far, can we give Severus a happier ending than J.K.R.?

I wonder if Severus thinks the powder will bring a dead person back to life. If that is the case, then maybe Hermione is then supposed to resurrect Severus after the final battle. I look forward to Hermione going back to see Severus. Hopefully he'll be nicer the next time around, now that he has realized that he actually enjoys researching with her.

in this chapter i particularly enjoyed the picture you paint of the barmy old widow and her many cats.  i like the names you've given them, too.  very funny.  i also am enjoying your portrayal of young severus, as irascible as ever, but not as totally ingrained into the habits he has when he is older.  i'm looking forward to finding out at some point what he thinks the phial is!can't wait for the next!

I am quite curious about the phial. Does Severus have a suspicion of what the phial contains? Hmm . . . I look forward to reading how their interaction goes the next day.Now where is Hermione going to spend the night? It depends on whether she trusts someone enough to let them know that she comes from the future.Maybe Lucius feels that if he can get Severus interested in another woman other than Lily, then Severus would be more happy with Voldemort and more willing to try to resurrect him.

Dang Lucius! Severus would have much better chances with her if she didn't think she'd been drugged by him. What, did he not think Severus could get a girl without her being unconscious?!? Some friend.

Interesting beginning.

what an exciting beginning to this story!  you are a wonderful writer - you describe things so vividly, i can really picture the scene.when hermione was floating around in the well, i wondered how long it would take her to remember that she's a witch and could help herself instead of waiting to be rescued!i also appreciate your reassuring us that more is in the works and you won't leave us hanging!  i've been trying not to start too many new WIPs because i really hate those superlong lulls that sometimes happen (plus sometimes i find i can't keep them all straight) but i could not resist reading yours since i loved your oneshot so much!
