It starts with a few letters from one extremely grouchy Potions maker to the manager of a used book store. Canon through Deathly Hallows to the point of Severus Snape's supposed death at which point it becomes AU.

I LOVE the sexual tension!! That is the best part; will they, won't they??And I have been entirely too greedy and found this story at Ashwinder and am slowly plowing through the rest of the chapters there. But I'll post my reviews here. God, it's like Christmas!!

As I was reading I was thinking about what I wanted to write in the review. Should I expound on the erotic nature of the letters or about the flawless writting yet again, that is until I got to the lines, Simon swallowed hard and cleared his throat while casting an almost shameful look towards Yorick as he adjusted-the way he was sitting in the chair. It seemed wrong to be reading it in front of the bird.I laughed out loud. The relationship between Severus and his "chicken" brings just the right amount of levity to this story. It also shows the anxiety he is feeling (as we all do,) about being accepted, loved and desired. Isn't that one of biggest fears for all of us, wittnessing his weakness makes him all the more human, and in turn all the more endearing.Thanks again for a fabulous update.

They are both entirely too wanton, they have got to get together soon. I cracked up at Simon's sheepish retreat into his bedroom, embarrased that Yorick must be mocking him in some birdie fashion. Great chapter, quite steamy. I love this story you guys. :)

This story has lead me on a wonderful journey - thank you! I very much enjoyed seeing the relationship progress through the letter format - what a creative idea! But my favorite parts of the story by far were the rants of Severus directed towards his chicken. So funny!! You both have a great talent for writing and I definately look forward to reading more!

I have to confess it took much longer than anticipated, but we think it was worth it. ;)Yorick - was a lucky happenstance really. I wanted some sort of pet for Snape to "talk" to, instead of the walls, and couldn't quite see him with a "Fido" or "Spot", so Yorick the noble falcon (chicken) was born.
I want to thank you for this brilliant story that had me laughing and crying, wringing my hands in despair and pumping my fist in the air, and shouting "Yes!" at the top of my lungs... In other words, this is everything a great story should be!I apologize for not leaving reviews after each chapter because that's what I usually do, but I was enjoying myself so much that I just read straight through. OH my! now how will they cure Simon? I've truly enjoyed this story from the very first and have done nothing but read it for the past day and a half. Now I find it is not finished and I could have sworn it was LOL. I will be on tender hooks till the next chapter is posted. Great job and please show mercy on us who await continuation.

Hello and I do apologize for the long delay. My mother, who was 94, was in and out of the hospital for most of the spring/summer months and I and my daughter were there with her most of the time. She left us in September and to be honest it's taken me a little time to get back in the writing mode. Darned Child and I are working on the story and it has not been forgotten. ;)
