It starts with a few letters from one extremely grouchy Potions maker to the manager of a used book store. Canon through Deathly Hallows to the point of Severus Snape's supposed death at which point it becomes AU.

I do have fun having Simon tease poor Yorick. Yorick allows this for some unknown reason of his own. Maybe he likes him?

I’m quite thankful to the „Random Story“ functionality the site offers – it came up with your story yesterday. Well, the result was a rather bleary-eyed me this morning (I’d been reading until I couldn’t hold my eyes open anymore), who couldn’t wait to get home from work to continue reading. I rather liked the way you started to tell the story through the letters, and how they changed their tone from business correspondence to friendly, from flirty to … letter sex? Then you added the mystery of his nightmares into the mix and stirred thoroughly. Well done!Thank you for a very enjoyable read.

! We always enjoy hearing that our hard work is appreciated. Believe it or not, we hesitated about actually posting the story because of the letter format, but it seemed to be well received and we're quite happy with the results. ;)

"Avoiding the inevitable." Not really. Building a foundation actually. Part Seventeen will be submitted (hopefully) tomorrow, but it will take a few days to be posted I'm sure. I only hope you'll like what we offer. ;)

Oh, wow. By the beginning of the chapter, it looked like it wasn't going to even make it this far, but there have been some absolutely beautiful moments.

Picture a slighty red face here, as I had to re-read the chapter to know what you were referring to. We're a few chapters ahead and I'd lost track. This – so far – has been one of my favorite chapters to work on. Coming to terms with what each of them are and dealing with it was very, very... I'm lacking a word strong enough to convey what I mean. Meaty? Sounds like a butchershop. ;)I know on my end I had to stop and give a great deal of thought to how my version of Severus would respond and it wasn't always easy. Other characters I've written would have gone all soft and mushy, but I have a hard time seeing Simon/Severus that way. It makes it difficult sometimes. Hee! Thank you for the review, which is all I started out to say.
oh what a horrible place to finally be left hanging, it breaks my heart when they are at odds. Hope to see more soon.

Well, we didn't do it for the angst, honestly. We were making sure all the dark corners were swept out so Simon couldn't hide in the any longer. ;)

Maybe they'll be reunited for the new year. I don't like them too much appart from each other. I know Simon's been an arse but that's he'll always be. She should be used from her schooldays by now.
