It starts with a few letters from one extremely grouchy Potions maker to the manager of a used book store. Canon through Deathly Hallows to the point of Severus Snape's supposed death at which point it becomes AU.

“You do realize,” he stated between nibbles, “if I drown – you’ll have to adopt my chicken.” I love this line the best of all, except in the next chapter when she calls him, "Severus" in the heat of the moment. YEAH!!

Arrrgh! Great story, can't wait for the update. One of my favorite things is the way their thoughts chime up and express their little self doubts and insecurities. It's so revealing of their feelings.

However, I am enjoying the story very much!!On a more serious note, I am sorry to hear about your loss. When I was a little girl I lost my beloved Golden Retriever, Murphy. I still miss him over 40 years later. They do stay in our hearts forever.

Jake was special in a way I've never seen before and unfortunately probably never will again. He made me love him and I did and do and always will.

Wonderful chapter. Poor Simon/Severus agonizing over whether he is willing to loose his last link to Lily, even though it is horrible nightmaes, strikes me as very truthful. That is the best thing a writer can achieve, truth in his writing.

I hope your mother is alright, and welcome home to Darned Child's hubby. Real life is of course more important, but all the same I am very very glad to see an update! And a great update it is. Surely Simon will benefit from sticking around, even though the urge to get out of there nearly won. A bubble bath sounds like just rewards! I can see them inching their way closer and closer. Once again I am struck by how these characters can't seem to keep their hands off each other. Their chemistry is intense. Looking forward to this bubble bath. ;)

Thank you so much for another great update! Considering how protective they are of eachother, I think they delude themself a tiny bit on just how they feel about eachother. It migth not be time for declaration of undying love, yet, but they sure are on the road to something much more than good friends.....:-)))

I've come to read your novel from a Russian fandom, due to desperate waiting for the translation to be completed. You might be releaved to know that the translation still bears the beauty of the text and is quite enjoyable.It's been a fortnight of fantastic reading. I enjoyed every moment. Thank you for the great work! This is one of the best reasoned Snagers. You made me believe the couple had the future. I liked the final scene, althoght I hated to stop. I dream of a new novel which brings both to a family with kids and friends - they deserve it!You were naughty to Dumbledore, but gracious to Severus and Hermione. It's a shame the thing is not Canon and cannot be filmed. I'd like to watch their first meeting in the shoppe!Yorick is adorable.Well done! I think I'll be reading more of you.

I'm so sorry. I thought I had responded to you earlier, but apparently I didn't.We were very flattered and pleased when we were asked if we would allow the translation into Russian. We were worried about the "flavor" of the story being changed and it makes us happy that it remains as we've written it.LOL Yes, it is a shame that we can't make it canon, but JKR has her own version I'm afraid so we'll have to make due, won't we.Thank you so very much for reading and reviewing. ;)

Hello and I do apologize for the long delay. My mother, who was 94, was in and out of the hospital for most of the spring/summer months and I and my daughter were there with her most of the time. She left us in September and to be honest it's taken me a little time to get back in the writing mode. Darned Child and I are working on the story and it has not been forgotten. ;)

I had put off reading this story because I didn't want it to end the same as the movie. I finally was in a wonderfully busy place where procrastinating writing my screenplay was the only option and decided to give this a chance. i'm so happy I did, this is wonderful. I can't wait for the next update, and will be a loyal reader.

I tend to try and avoid unhappy endings and only go with bittersweet (like the movie) if I'm in the mood and the story calls for it. This one – so far anyway – hasn't.We're always happy to welcome a new reader! ;)

For being just kisses that was very HOT. I almost melted in my couch when I read this line "My eyes. My hands," Simon whispered before he replaced that finger with his lips, gently taking her mouth with his own.I hadn't expected such an encounter for another couple of chapters. I'm SO excited because I'm already thinking at what will happen next time. NEXT TIME *squee* You couldn't have brighten my day more. So Thank YOU so much

Oooh that was steamy. I knew it would be, when they finally saw each other in person. Simon's emotional response of substituting anger for hurt about this books really struck me as real, very true to a man who has hidden his emotions all his life. I could feel the sizzle when they finally were alone in her office. And yes, Simon pulled off the romance quite well. Very much looking forward to reading more. (I'm about to go into hospital to have a baby but I hope you post one more chapter before I pop!! ;)
