Canon through Deathly Hallows to the point of Severus Snape's supposed death at which point it becomes AU.

I began reading this yesterday, and I had to finish the last of this chapter this morning.Bravo! I love this story. I don't comment very often...only when a story stands out enough for me to have something different to say. This one has been wonderful. There are so many elements to it that are surprisingly fresh. I have to say, though, that my favorite part is Simon calling his falcon 'chicken.' I laugh every time. I swear, the little sub-plot going with the bird is one of those things that makes a great story. It's a quirk of the character that is utilized and expounded upon to make the character more believable. Hermione's description of why women read romance....*sigh* Were you in my head, dear authors? Did you lay open my heart for all the world to see? I read this particular ship because the characters remind me of people I know, and so even though I know there isn't a man alive capable of the romance that Snape exhibits (even at his snarky best, which is why I love him), I am drawn to it because it's my ideal - an intelligent man that is complicated enough to keep me from getting bored.Alas, I've babbled, but take it as a compliment. This rarely happens. There are few stories that 'get' to me like this. I eagerly await the next installment.

I really love this chapter, they are getting so much closer and if only Severus can actually believe that there is infact somethingn good in his future and that he deserves it, the feeling in his stommach should dissapear without any trace (because you don't intend to let anything bad comming their way, do you? (Sending a stern look your way)). I loved the comment about Hermione telling Molly that she didn't intend to marry any of her sons....:-))

I just love how Simon can't keep his hands off her. She doesn't seem to mind, but I can almost hear her brain working towards getting the answers she hungers for. Can't wait for the next chapter!! I stayed up late into the early morning hours to read this whole story, and now I have to add it to my list of addictions. I think I'll be happy with the next chapter whether Hermione gives in or not ;) I had to smile when you were describing the reasons Hermione likes Romance novels. This story provides all the romance of a slow build wonderfully.

Great writing - a wonderful slow burn. It seems quite fitting for such a cerebral intelligent pair to conduct a flirtation on a cerebral level in letters rather than in person with physical/visual cues.
Looking forward to the next chapter.
